
Canada (Montreal): Visa and General Information
Pre-requisites for Canadian citizens:
• Work Permit to be obtained from the Canadian Immigration Authority with or without the HRSDC involvement, by a limited number of work related activities in Canada. NAFTA (North American Trade Agreement), which applies to the Citizens of Canada, United States and Mexico, allows the citizens of these countries to apply for Work Permit in Canada without HRDC validation.
Obtaining Canadian Work permit is a two stages process:
• Canadian Employer must receive a validation of the job offer extended to a foreign worker from Human Resources and Skills Development Canada (HRSDC).
• The application for Work permit must be brought to the Canadian Visa Mission of the Applicant, seeking entry to Canada as a foreign worker.
